Frequently asked questions

What counts as an "AI ticket"?

Every session upload (video recording or screenshot) that is processed by our AI counts as one ticket. Ticket creation in Jira, Slack, or other integrations is unlimited and does not count toward your quota.

How does the 14-day trial work?

Every new account starts on a 14-day free trial with Starter-level limits (200 AI tickets, 60-second video, all integrations). No credit card is required. After 14 days your account moves to the Free plan (50 lifetime tickets, 30-second video, public sessions only) unless you upgrade.

What happens when I exceed my monthly quota?

Free plan: uploads are blocked after 50 tickets (one grace upload allowed). Starter and Pro plans: uploads continue at $0.10 per ticket. There is no hard cap on paid plans — usage is uncapped and billed at the end of the month.

What is the difference between monthly and annual billing?

Annual billing is paid upfront for 12 months at the annual rate ($29.99/mo for Starter = $359.88/yr, $89.99/mo for Pro = $1,079.88/yr), saving you ~17% compared to monthly billing. Monthly billing is billed each calendar month and can be cancelled at any time with no penalty.

Can I add unlimited teammates?

Yes — all plans include unlimited users. Only the AI ticket count limits usage, not the number of people in your workspace.

What is overage billing?

On Starter and Pro, if you exceed your monthly ticket quota, additional tickets are billed at $0.10 each and added to your next invoice. You'll receive an email when overage begins so there are no surprises.

What are "private sessions"?

On paid plans (Starter and above), you can mark sessions as private — only members of your workspace can view them. Free and trial accounts have public-only sessions accessible to anyone with the link.

How does data retention work?

Recordings are automatically soft-deleted after your plan's retention window: 14 days (Free and Trial), 30 days (Starter), 1 year (Pro). You'll receive a warning email before deletion. Upgrade to extend your retention.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — cancel from your billing settings at any time. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. You won't be charged again after cancelling.

Can I remove the "Powered by BugSnap" badge from my tickets?

Yes — the badge only appears on tickets created by Free and Trial plan workspaces. Upgrade to Starter or Pro and your Jira and Slack tickets will be badge-free.

Do you offer refunds?

We don't offer refunds for partial months. If you're not satisfied, cancel before your next billing date and you won't be charged again. Contact support if you have questions.
